Job Description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance and a heart for service? At Douglas J, we're looking for an Institute Maintenance Tech who enjoys ensuring our locations are always in top shape, ready to welcome guests and inspire students. You'll be a key part of our team, ensuring our Salon & Institute locations are always clean, neat, and ready for the day's activities.

What You'll Do:

• Light plumbing and electrical work
• Painting and drywall tasks
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the locations, ensuring it's always guest-ready, with assistance from a 3rd party cleaning service
• Prep the building for morning opening, setting the stage for a day of learning and guest services
• Keep accurate maintenance logs and tracking, ensuring we're always on top of service requests and preventative maintenance 
• Purchase necessary materials and keep track of inventory, ensuring we're always well-stocked
• Inspect the buildings and grounds daily, ensuring everything is in order
• Assist in the setup and take down of events and promotions, ensuring smooth operations

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• You have prior maintenance experience and a knack for fixing things
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You pay attention to detail and have good math skills
• You are proactive, punctual, self-motivated, and can multitask
• You have basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Excel
• You have and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• You are willing to work a typical Monday-Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm schedule
• You maintain a polished, professional image
