Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and ensuring the overall health of patients' eyes. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any abnormalities or diseases - Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as needed - Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration - Perform minor surgical procedures, such as removing foreign bodies from the eye or performing laser eye surgery - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and provide recommendations for maintaining good eye health - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic medical record systems (Epic) - Adhere to medical coding standards for accurate billing and reimbursement - Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety Skills: - Strong patient care skills with the ability to establish rapport and provide compassionate care - In-depth knowledge of ophthalmology principles and practices - Proficient in taking vital signs and performing basic diagnostic tests - Experience working with electronic medical record systems (Epic) - Familiarity with medical coding standards for accurate billing and reimbursement - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records - Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology - Ability to perform procedures using aseptic techniques If you are a dedicated Optometrist looking to make a difference in patients' lives, we encourage you to apply.
