Maintenance Team Member – DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport / Caroline’s Restaurant

As one of our Maintenance Team Members, you will be a part of a newly renovated hotel and the newest restaurant in Moon Township. While providing an attractive, clean, safe and secure building, you will become extremely knowledgeable of all maintenance standards set forth by DoubleTree by Hilton.

What You Will Be Doing:

· Maintaining an attractive, clean, safe and secure environment for all guests

· Operate, maintain and repair all hotel physical plant equipment and systems including equipment for kitchen, laundry and swimming pool

· Perform all assigned preventative maintenance work on guest rooms and equipment and document all work done

· Remedy guest complaints within 30 minutes. Notify front desk or MOD for follow-up if necessary

· Make repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or repair plaster, paint walls, ceiling and trim. Cut and lay flooring (carpet, tile, etc.)

· Report daily to Maintenance Engineer any maintenance issues or issues, or areas of concern

· Maintaining all maintenance space in a clean and orderly condition. Keep all tools and supplies secured at all times

· Attend all required weekly or assigned meetings

· Perform all duties as required and other tasks assigned by the General Manager and ownership

Your Skills and Qualifications Include:

· Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times

· Ability to focus attention on guest, employee and departmental needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

· Knowledge of HVAC, general plumbing, electrical and life safety systems are a must

· Experienced in using Transcendent or similar property management software is preferred

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, while working cohesively as a part of a team

· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Highly responsible and reliable

· Ability to work all shifts and be on call when necessary

· Operational knowledge of Excel and some form of PM system

· Ability to have fun

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

· Must be able to work in hot, cold and wet conditions

· Ability to stand, walk and be mobile for up to 8 hours

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl on all types of surfaces

· Grasping, lifting and holding tools and having good finger dexterity is required

· Frequent lifting and moving objects up to 100lbs

· Ability to move quickly and efficiently over significant distances within building and overall property

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
