HOUSE PERSON NEEDED!

DOUBLETREE BY HILTON - MEMPHIS DOWNTOWN

The House Person assures cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assists Guestroom Attendants in order to maintain high standards of quality.

Daily tasks include, but not limited to:

1. Stocking linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants; may include taking supplies directly to room attendants.

2. Emptying room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash.

3. Cleaning and removing spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guest room doors, and elevator doors.

4. Vacuuming, sweeping, and/or mopping hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers.

5. Flipping mattresses and moving furniture as assigned by supervisor.

6. Complying with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

7. Performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English.

Self-starting personality with an even disposition.

Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.

Must be able to communicate well with guests.

Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.

Ability to lift, bend, stop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.

Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor

Prior housekeeping experience required.

Must be able to stand, stoop, reach and bend for long, continuous periods of time.

Reliable mode of transportation
