DoubleTree by Hilton Downtown Pittsburgh is a large business in Pittsburgh, PA. This beautiful 342 room property is in the heart of the downtown area, a half-mile from PPG Paints Arena – home to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins. In this role, you will be expected to do the following:

• Clean guest hallways/corridors.
• Remove trash from hallway trashcans, from housekeeping carts, from guest rooms and deposit in trash dumpster.
• Thoroughly vacuum guest hallways, elevators, carpet edges, stairwells, and thoroughly clean elevators. Shampoo carpets and mop floors when needed.
• Work with stain removal and chemical cleaning agents, and operation of different types of equipment.
• Make sure par levels of all necessary items are stocked in each room
• Remove soiled linen from housekeeping carts and, using laundry carts, take to the laundry room to be cleaned.
• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen as needed by the room attendants.
• Stock amenities and cleaning supplies in the storage area.
• Promptly and courteously deliver all items requested by guests within ten (10) minutes of request. Return items to Housekeeping once the guest is finished.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills, executing special guest requests, or assisting room attendants to clean rooms as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to attend to guests, associates and management in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner which requires strong customer service as well as written and oral communication skills.
• Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
• Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
• Must be energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
• Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off cart, using safe lifting techniques
• Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds
• Availability from 3pm -11pm
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
