(This is a remote position open to candidates residing in North Carolina and Texas. We have an office location in Austin, TX for use at our employees' convenience. We have no plans to return to the office on a mandatory basis.)

We need a skilled Proposal Writer to drive high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and grant applications for technical consulting and professional services projects in education and state and local government. If you've got a passion for building compelling proposals, we want to talk! 

If so, we're looking for an inspired, creative, and detail-oriented person like you, who can:

• Create compelling and attractive proposals and formal RFP responses, insisting on high quality throughout
• Keep a steady hand driving multiple proposals with overlapping response timelines
• Author and collaborate with appropriate resources for content on each proposal
• Plan and manage parallel threads of work involving multiple contributors
• Be the expert on the context and completion of each proposal, including the organization(s) requesting it, the factors determining award decisions, the priorities of each evaluator, other organizations who may be responding, procurement vehicles available (if applicable), and other factors as directed by the Director of Sales
• Continuously improve our proposal writing capabilities such that subsequent proposals are of higher quality and/or more efficient to develop
• Identify federal, state, and non-profit grant opportunities for which we may wish to apply on behalf of our clients

Bonus points if you're bringing the following experience to the table:

• Basic or advanced graphic design
• Grant writing

• Understand our proposal process in the first 30 days
• Drive the end-to-end development of a proposal in your first 60 days
• Identify 2 opportunities to improve our proposal writing process in your first 90 days
