Position Purpose:

Support department in preparing, loading and unloading materials. Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure product is being shipped and/or received accurately with quality and quantity. Process paperwork for inbound and outbound shipments. Ensure shipments are met, orders are pulled for the following days shipments and check in items that are delivered.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all quotas’ for pulls and loading / unloading of trailers are met in a timely manner.

• Review dock status report for the day’s current shipment to ensure all are 100% fulfilled. Note any exceptions to Scheduling for review and action.

• Review open orders for next day shipments and report any issues.

• Report any cycle count variances to Lead.

• Follow all forklift safety rules and perform daily operational checks.

• Must be able to work mandatory overtime to fulfill shipping/receiving requirements.

• Responsible for upkeep of housekeeping and 5s in Warehouse area.

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required knowledge and Experience:

Must have proficiently with computers and RF scanning. Experience in Shipping and Receiving in a manufacturing environment. Forklift experience.

Skills/Abilities:

Ability to effectively function in a broad-based, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision. The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be on their feet all day; standing, stooping, squatting, and reaching can be expected along with lifting of up to 50 lbs. boxes of raw materials and finished goods.

Quality Standards:

Must comply with all plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Safety:

To maintain proper safety standards according to established Sanitary and Housekeeping Practices (GMP Compliance). Proper use of all safety equipment i.e.: proper use of personal protective gear including hairnets, gloves and safety glasses.
