SUMMARY:

The EPIC Billing Analyst is responsible for Analyzing the EPIC Patients setup for all departments and locations in the System. The position directs and oversees the operational implementation of and compliance of areas of responsibility. The EPIC Billing Analyst coordinates closely with the Directors of departments to assure optimal integration of services.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze current revenue cycle process and recommend changes for improvement.
• Acts as DotHouse liaison with the Third Party Billing Company.
• Monitor the Provider Credential process to ensure that Providers are Credentialed in a timely manner.
• Work with the Directors of Medical & Behavioral Health Operations to ensure that services are coded correctly and that patient account adjustments are monitored to negative trends.
• Work with DotHouse’s Billing Company to ensure that claims are paid properly and timely.
• Analyses DotHouse’s Accounts Receivable to find root causes of billing issues and formulates corrections.
• Participates in the Mass League of Community Health Center’s Billing Forum.
• Recommend policies, procedures, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of front-end revenue cycle processes and providing reports to key stakeholders.
• Evaluate and make recommendations on information system enhancements and new information technology as required to provide overall effectiveness and efficiency.
• Maintain current working knowledge of all professional reimbursement issues. Meet periodically with other Senior Managers to review revenue cycle data and receivables.
• Demonstrates understanding and commitment of the health center mission.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

• Five years of experience in third party billing and collections. ICD10 and CPT coding, contract compliance and information reporting requirements.
• The ability to work independently and with teams to solve problems.
• Previous experience working with EPIC strongly preferred.
• Strong Healthcare Revenue Cycle operational workflow knowledge

Software/Hardware: Must be proficient and have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

Preferred: Master’s Degree
