Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

• Skilled in operating the more common types of machine shop, woodwork or grounds equipment.

• Skilled in plumbing, electricity, carpentry and HVAC.

• Skilled in safe work practices.

• Ability to complete work to “Industry Standards” conditions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate power tools as it related to carpentry, electrical and plumbing. Must be able to use and interpret the reading on a voltage tester. Ability to work in tight or cramped spaces such as attics and crawl spaces; ability to work in these positions for extended periods of time. Ability to climb a ladder to gain access to work areas.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED or obtain a GED within one year of being hired, plus some training from a technical school.

• Minimum of three (3) years verifiable experience in housing maintenance or related field.

• Or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience to meet the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirements:

• Possession of a valid state issued drivers’ license and must be insurable under DHA’s automobile insurance plan at the standard rate.

• Must possess or within two years from date of hire, possess and/or enroll in a program to obtain a State Certificate of Journeyman Gas and Pipe Fitter or Electrician.

• Commercial Driver License preferred.

Pay: $13.26 - $20.79 per hour
