Job Description :

The facilities manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.

The position plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials, and other related costs.

Job Responsibilities :

Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required

Job Qualifications :

High school or a tech school education and 3 years of factory-related experience in a maintenance environment

Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills : carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical (assist the facilities electrician), machine repair, plant layout, painting, and janitorial

Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, O.E.M. instructions, and specifications

Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment

Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his / her tasks
