Vortex Metal Manufacturing is looking for a detail-oriented Forming Shop Fabricator to join our team. The Forming Shop Fabricator is responsible for forming an average of 600 pounds of duct fittings of various gauges and sizes per day. This position needs to be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Form fittings and visually inspect all product as it comes off of the plasma table.
• Organize fittings once formed on pallets and move to the assembly shop.
• Communicate with team leads on progress and backlog.
• Support the assembly shop and other areas of the department as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area throughout the day and leave in good condition at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries while working with sheet metal.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read, write, and interpret documents and instructions.
• Productive time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Has personal set of required tools to include: snips, tape measure, sheet metal hammer, and PPE.

What We Are Looking For:

• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, climb, twist, and bend.
• Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
