Summary:
The IT Intern will provide both tactical and practical technology services within the IT department. As technology is a piece of every department, process, function, and team at Petmate, this candidate development role will be tailored to the selected candidate’s degree program, experience, capabilities, and interest. This role reports the manager of Petmate’s Technology Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the entire Technology team. The IT intern will have the opportunity to work within multiple IT teams and technology disciplines. She or he will be responsible for deliverables dependent on his or her competencies.
The successful candidate will be have customer-service-oriented attitude, clear ability to quickly learn new skills, and have experience with technology (software or hardware) concepts.
This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
The internship program will be a paid, 10-week program beginning June 3, 2024, through August 9th, 2024. Our interns can expect to work 40 hrs./wk. during the 10-week period. Must provide own housing arrangements in the DFW area and able to commute daily to Arlington, TX. To gain the best experience and build relationships with the team, this role will be onsite 5 days a week.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Involved in a Comp Sci, MIS, Accounting/Finance, or Business Administration degree program.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, right and verbally communicate in English to all levels of the organization.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, Visio (or similar), and Excel.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer screen in an office environment. A moderate tolerance of loud noises if needed to go out into the production facility.
