Don's Appliances is a family-run, appliance retailer based out of Pittsburgh, PA and has won Pittsburgh's Top Workplace nine years in a row. The Appliance Technician 3 works as part of the team in providing service of our previously sold appliances throughout the Don’s Appliance service area. They are the faces of Don's Appliances in the community and are welcomed in our customer's home because of our exceptional service, which leads them to be life long customers.

A typical day for an Appliance Technician 3 will include the following:

• Provide top tier service to all Don’s Appliances customers and build positive customer relationships.
• Provide the effective repair and first-time resolution of all in-home repairs.
• Carry out repairs, modifications of home appliances in the field.
• Resolve customer issues within given guidelines and to customer satisfaction.
• Protect the customers floors, counters and appliances while working.
• Efficiently diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Make appropriate repairs or order parts for repair.
• Complete multiple service calls in a timely manner daily while providing high levels of customer service
• Continuous updating of progress to Managers in regard to service requests.
• Required to complete all paperwork legibly and within the required timeframes. 

Requirements

About You: We might be a great match if:

• You enjoy being on the go and like to drive to various service calls
• You are detail oriented and prefer to work independently
• You like to work with your hands and have the ability lift appliances up to 50lbs unassisted

There are a few skills and requirements you should have to be successful:

• You hold a technical degree in relevant field or relevant training preferred.
• You are flexible and can accept alternative shifts assignments on short notice, work scheduled and nonscheduled overtime and participate in a weekend work rotation.
• You are organized with the ability to complete multiple service calls in a timely manner daily while providing high levels of customer service.
• You are a self-starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• You are willing and able to train Appliance Technician Level 1 and 2 employees.
• You have strong communication and superior customer service skills.
• You can use a computer and possess a general working knowledge of how to enter data on a computer.
• You are able to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner.
• You hold 5 plus years of appliance repair experience or similar; Refrigeration experience preferred.
• You earned a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• You can Pass background, driving, and drug testing.
• You hold a Valid Driver's License.
