NEWINGTON/WEST HARTFORD LANDSCAPE CO. PROVIDES COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL LANDSCAPING. We are a growing company, and we are looking for a candidate(s) to help us continue our success. If you would like to work with a legitimate Landscape Contracting Company, where you take pride in your work, we want to talk with you! QUALIFIED CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE:Currently studying or have graduated from horticultural training. Or, have at least 2 years industry experience. Valid CT licenseD.O.T. Medical Card or provide one after hire date OSHA 30hr safety course certification or obtain after hire date.Hydraulic license a PLUS to operate heavy equipment.Knowledge of tools, plant material, and equipment. We welcome Bi-lingual but must speak the English language. Benefits package is included: Vacation, holidays, uniforms, team building seminars and more for a qualified candidate(s). Signing bonus after 90 days for qualified individuals.

Currently, We Need Individuals With Skills In:

  • INSTALLATION TEAM LEADER (FOREMAN) : Manage teams, day-to-day schedules and client expectations for new installations. This person actively works along with the team during installation and is accountable for deliverable quality in the eyes of the client. Works closely with the designer to transfer the design intent to the installation, and to address unforeseen job site issues. Prior experience in landscape installation is expected. Typical work includes demo, grading, drainage, building new beds, planting, mulching, lighting, HARDSCAPE, SITEWORK fencing, irrigation, transplanting, and planting. There is some landscape maintenance work, especially during spring and fall clean-ups. On-the-job training provided.
  • LAND CARE TEAM LEADER (FOREMAN): Manage teams, schedules and client expectations for property maintenance. Develop new and existing accounts. This person actively works along with the crew caring for client landscapes and is accountable for service quality in the eyes of the client. Good horticultural knowledge and prior experience in landscape maintenance are expected. Typical work includes planting bed cleanup and weeding, planting, dividing, fine pruning of trees and shrubs, fertilizing, edging, mulching and construction and care of container planters. There may be some lawn care involved. On-the-job training provided.
  • LAND CARE TEAM MEMBER-- Member of Land Care crew. Typical work includes planting bed cleanup and weeding, planting, dividing, fine pruning of trees and shrubs, fertilizing, edging, mulching and construction and care of container planters. There may be some lawn care involved for some team members. Good horticultural knowledge and prior experience in landscape maintenance are desired, but we are happy to train enthusiastic candidates.
  • INSTALLATION TEAM MEMBER: Member of the installation crew. Typical work includes demo, grading, drainage, building new beds, planting, mulching, lighting, simple hardscape, and irrigation. Some team members are focused only on planting beds. On-the-job training provided.
  • ADDITIONAL EXPERTISE IN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING AREAS IS BENEFICIAL:Operating Front Wheel Loaders, Track Machines, Dingo, and mini-excavators. Repair and maintenance of power equipment- light carpentry there are PART and FULL-TIME positions available. Wages and benefits are very competitive. We are happy to train enthusiastic candidates. All candidates must be physically fit, enthusiastic to learn, work well as a team member, and enjoy working outside under various weather conditions. We have plenty of work, and most crew members have overtime hours available to them if desired. You must have a valid driver's license,( CDL A a Plus) reliable transportation, cell phone with texting, and daily email access.
