- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction contractors and the construction staff daily.
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
- Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment.
- Assign work to employees, based on materials or worker requirements of specific jobs.
- Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Submit material list for ordering or for quotes as requested.
- Confer with management or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
- Analyze construction staff production and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods.
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
- Aid workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools and other equipment.
- Arrange for any repairs of company equipment or tools.
- Confer with management to help initiate personnel actions, such as terminations, promotions, transfers, and hires.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure quality work is performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years related experience 10 preferred and/or training in construction supervision; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Salary based on qualifications experience.
- $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year.
