Don Services is Hiring an Attorney (FT) Near Castle, PA

EXEMPT (Y/N): Y SALARY LEVEL:
LOCATION: New Castle DEPT: Services
WEEKLY HOURS: 40 EMPLOYEE: 
SUPERVISOR: Supervising Attorney
SUMMARY: Assist legal department by investigating facts, preparing legal documents, or researching legal precedent. Conduct research to support all legal proceedings, help formulate a defense, or assist in initiating legal actions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following:
  • Prepare legal documents, such as correspondence, and help organize and maintain documents.
  • Investigate facts and law of cases and search pertinent sources, such as public records and internet sources, to determine causes of action and to prepare cases.
  • Work closely with legal team to discuss details of upcoming cases and advise on how to prepare for said cases.
  • Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, court decisions, legal articles, codes, and all other documents deemed to be detrimental to all legal proceedings.
  • Review complaints, petitions, motions, or pleadings that have been filed to determine issues involved or basis for relief.
  • Keep abreast of changes in the laws and inform legal staff when cases may be affected by such changes.
  • Communicate with legal team regarding case management or procedural requirements.
  • Prepare briefs, legal memoranda, or statements of issues involved in cases, including appropriate suggestions and recommendations.
  • Confer with judges and legal staff concerning all legal questions, construction of legal documentation, or granting of orders.
  • Handle common day-to-day corporate issues in dealings with customers, vendors and employees, review contracts, complete online and paper forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Professional degree in law required. May have minimal experience but eager to Learn.
