Hourly Range

$15.50 to $19.00 an hour, which is based on various factors including skills abilities and work experience

The sales associate is responsible for developing a network of clientele and maintaining these consumer relationships through personal and professional engagement to deliver exceptional customer service. The sales associate greets consumers, with a helpful attitude, and demonstrates product knowledge, makes recommendations, and provides options for a personalized shopping experience.

Experience/Education:

Previous retail or customer service experience

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Bilingual Spanish, preferred | Additional language skills, a plus

Essential Duties:

• Acquire and maintain product knowledge to demonstrate brand, quality, and style

• Recommend, select, and locate or obtain merchandise based on consumer requests

• Foster repeat business by building consumer relationships and promote buying options to include credit applications

• Efficiently and accurately process sales transactions using store register, and adhere to checkout standards

• Accept payments or down payments for credit accounts

• Collect personal transaction information and maintain accuracy as well as safety of consumer accounts in accordance with company’s consumer privacy policies

• Support processes related to store openings and closings and securing merchandise

• Process product exchanges or returns within policy guidelines provided by the company

• Assist with seasonal decorating, unpacking of new shipments, and prepares outgoing shipments

• Performs jewelry cleanings as determined by manager, assists with cleaning work environment

• Maintain company dress code, professional behavior, and neatness always

• Achieve or exceed assigned monthly performance quotas

• Other duties as assigned

• While performing the duties of this position, the sales associate is regularly required to talk and hear. The sales associate frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The sales associate is required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The sales associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to a minimum of 20 pounds and pull/push up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
