Don Roberto Jewelers is Hiring an Account Representative - Level 1 Near Stockton, CA

Hourly Range: $18.00 to $20.00 an hour, which is based on various factors including skills abilities and work experience, and county ordinance.

Purpose:

The account representative is responsible for providing highest level of service, while keeping in track of past due amounts and in a professional matter. The incumbent will support processes in accordance with company policies. In this position, the first 6-months of employment is the introductory period used to train the incumbent and to provide an understanding of the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Essential Duties:

  • Collect personal transaction information and maintain accuracy as well as safety of consumer accounts in accordance with company’s consumer privacy policies
  • Assist with seasonal decorating, unpacking of new shipments, and prepares outgoing shipments
  • Performs jewelry cleanings as determined by manager, assists with cleaning work environment
  • Maintain company dress code, professional behavior, and neatness 
  • Achieve or exceed assigned monthly bad debt and currency numbers as assigned by manager or such other manager as DRJ may designate.
  • Review and understand the customer credit report to provide accurate information regarding approval amount, and in accordance with and respect for the company’s Personal Information policy.
  • Collect related customer information to proceed with opening a credit account
  • Call customers, at the direction of the store management team, and work to reduce past due accounts and schedule payment arrangements by phone and make notations within customer database.
  • Support processes related to store openings and closings and securing merchandise
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear. The incumbent is frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The incumbent must lift, carry and/or move up to a minimum of 20 pounds and pull/push up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent will respect associate and consumer privacy as it is an essential part of the company’s process to manage Personal Information (PI) in accordance with Section 1798.100 of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). PI is defined as categories of information that identifies, relates to, describes or is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a particular individual or household.

Environmental Safety

This position involves some exposure to products and equipment that may be hazardous or pose a physical risk. This position may involve some exposure to unusual elements for example dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. You are required to follow all basic safety precautions and procedures.

Purpose:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Abide by all State and Federal laws, and company policy.
  • Call customers with past due accounts and negotiate payment arrangement by phone. Locate customers with delinquent accounts.
  • Document all conversations with customers.
  • Follow up on " broken promises " in a timely manner. Achieve or exceed accounts worked quota.
  • Accept payments; take credit applications. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to endure long periods of sitting, standing and occasionally walking; lift and carry a maximum of 25 pounds;
  • push and pull 40 pounds; climb, kneel, and reach on occasions. Use of ordinary conversation speech and hearing; field vision, color vision and acuity (far and near). Ability to operate a personal computer, printers, telephone, and other general office equipment; to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms; apply cognitive skills; work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and interact effectively with coworkers. Ability to appear for work on time and to understand and follow posted rules and procedures.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Six months collections or telemarketing experience, retail preferred.
