Don Farr Moving & Storage is a small business in OTHER. We are professional, customer-centric, fast-paced and our goal is to ease the burden of stressful life events such as moving/relocating by ensuring their items are safely packed, stored, and delivered as efficiently and safely as possible..

Moving can be extremely stressful, be it an apartment space, storage unit, an office space, or a mansion. We're here to help with it all! We tackle everything from just assisting with professional level packing, all the way up to cross country and large-scale corporate moves. This is a physical position, that being said you will always be part of a team and we are here to help each other. On a typical day our teams arrive at our warehouse at 7 am to receive their jobs for the day, the drivers will do their pre-trip inspections while the helpers make sure they have all the needed supplies for the day, and then they go to customer houses/businesses to help escort their belongings from point A to point B with occasionally providing packing services to ensure safe arrival of their items. It’s a fast-paced environment where you’ll never have the same day twice and you get to meet a lot of interesting people and help get them through a stressful life event. We are a family-owned company, and it definitely reflects in our atmosphere. Our owner is in the office every day, and we are located in the heart of West Mifflin. We are excited to offer competitive rates and growth opportunities for our dedicated team. One unique thing that sets us apart from other labor/driving positions is you are eligible to receive tips.
Responsibilities
All team members are to arrive at the warehouse promptly at 7 am
Drivers preform their Daily Vehicle Inspection Pre-Trip while helpers prepare the truck with the supplies needed for the day
Crew leader is to call the customer and provide them with an ETA when you leave the warehouse (great time to introduce yourself and the crew)
Once at the Jobsite Crew leader introduces themselves and the crew and asks the customer to do an initial walkthrough to discuss what goes vs. what stays and to get a good idea of where to start and what needs packed/wrapped/padded to ensure the safest move possible for our customers
Crew works together to safely and efficiently pack all items into the truck and clean up any debris (tape, cardboard, ect..) we create while packing
Deliver all items to the customers new location or into our storage facility safely and efficiently and Crew leader is to ensure that all paperwork is filled out on our tablet by the customer
Once returned to our facility Drivers will complete the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report Post-Trip and the whole crew works together to make sure the truck is free of debris/garbage, all pads are folded and stacked neatly and all equipment is returned to where it belongs
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally eligible for employment in the US
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs from the ground safely, repeatedly
Load and unload items from trucks, trailers, and containers.
