Hometown Pharmacy in Chillicothe, MO is looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to pick up and deliver prescriptions, mail, paperwork, misc. items.

Responsibilities

• Delivers prescriptions, OTC items, paperwork, etc. to patients (including any DME supplies the pharmacist has deemed complete).
• Communicate well with the store team to be able to provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, professional, friendly work environment.
• Assist with other tasks designated by the pharmacy manager.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Picks up payment, paperwork, signatures, and materials from patients
• Picks up and delivers items between GRX Holdings stores
• Perform clerical functions such as going to the bank to make bank deposits and get change orders, taking mail to the post office, delivering gifts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematic calculations which would normally be acquired through secondary education, or through equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively deal with the public
• Neat appearance
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent navigational ability
• Good driving record.

Delivery Drivers are required to be licensed with the state Board of Pharmacy. Any person not currently licensed with the MO Board of pharmacy must apply for a license prior to commencing employment in the pharmacy. Licenses expire annually and require renewal. No continuing education is required for license renewal.
