POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate data-focused projects in our organization. This role requires a unique combination of technical expertise and project management skills, with a focus on aligning project deliverables to stakeholder requirements and organizational goals. As a key player in our team, you will manage project timelines, budgets, and scopes, while advocating for iterative development and effective communication. Your contributions will be crucial in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring successful project outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leads and manages agile sprints, ensures projects align with the requirements, budget, and timeline set by the project leader
  • Creates and prioritizes actionable tickets to efficiently progress the project
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders, aligning project goals and outcomes
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of data projects, including the development of a cloud-based enterprise data warehouse integrating data from diverse sources
  • Facilitates the delivery of key metrics and data dashboards, translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Collects and understands business requirements from stakeholders and users
  • Acts as a liaison between non-technical business stakeholders and the engineering/data teams, ensuring clear translation of business needs into technical specifications
  • Trains and guides BI analysts in converting business requirements into actionable project tickets

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combinations of education and related experience required
  • 5 years of experience as a project manager; preferably in a technical field
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and leading agile sprints
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, or another agile technical project management tool
  • Understanding of SDLC, data warehousing, and API integrations
  • Familiarity with programming languages and codebase comprehension is a plus
  • Skilled in creating and prioritizing effective project tickets
  • Competent in aligning project goals with stakeholder expectations and requirements
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • ScrumMaster or PMP certification preferred
