Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Director to oversee the operations of our educational camp program. The Camp Director will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and educational activities for students, managing staff, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive camp curriculum that aligns with educational standards
- Plan and coordinate daily activities, including sports, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, and field trips
- Hire, train, and supervise camp staff, including counselors and instructors
- Provide guidance and support to staff in delivering high-quality educational experiences
- Ensure the safety of all camp participants by enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding camp activities, policies, and student progress
- Collaborate with other camp directors to share resources and best practices
- Manage camp budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed
Skills:
- Higher education teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of education administration principles
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff and students
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations
