The Barowsky School of Business is seeking to hire a visiting faculty for the 2024-2025 academic year to teach in-person and virtual undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; Evaluate and grade student work and provide feedback to students; Mentor and advise students on the progress of their projects and coursework.
• Attend and contribute to faculty meetings, conference calls and other professional development activities.
• Participate in curriculum development for individual courses and overall program.
• Participate in the School’s Assurance of Learning and assessment processes.
• Uphold academic performance standards and integrity.
• Provide coaching and mentoring as part of their core responsibility during the academic year. Hold regular office hours online or in person for students soliciting advice and mentoring services.

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Accounting with experience teaching auditing, financial audit, or closely related courses.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals or demonstrated ability and willingness to publish in peer-reviewed accounting journals.
• Willingness to incorporate data analytics in teaching accounting courses. 
• Google Suite: Docs, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, and Slides
• Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Publications in peer-reviewed accounting journals within the past 5 years.
• Industry experience in auditing.
• Business and/or professional experience in accounting.
