Dolese Delivers: Stable Foundation Treat with Respect Safe Environments Employee Focus JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the overall operations of the Mineral Filler Plant. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, customer service and quality control. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure Filler Plant operates safely, efficiently, and within all quality specifications. Proficient and safe operation of the drying and screening process. Responsible for loading customers trucks via load out system efficiently and timely. Responsible for coordinating production schedule to maintain satisfactory inventory levels. Regular quality control testing of product insuring conformance to specifications. Schedule production and ensure adequate inventories in order to meet customer needs. Coordinate with aggregate operations to insure consistent supply of feed to the operation. Ability to read, write and comprehend reports including but not limited to: safety inspections, production reporting, environmental reports, shipping reports, maintenance records. Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained in accordance with company policies and MSHA guidelines. Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards. Maintain plant in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically. Maintain good working relationships with co-workers, customers and outside agencies. Ability to perform, record, and interpret all quality control testing including particle size distribution and moisture. Ensure the proper storage of all materials, parts, and supplies. Operate and drive light and heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Possess a safe work history. Have a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety program. Willingness to learn and operate a complex drying, grinding/air classification system with computerized controls. Ability to read, write and figure basic mathematical calculations and clerical skills. Ability to write, comprehend and maintain maintenance records. Must possess a mechanical aptitude. Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communicate skills. Ability to work overtime, nights and weekends as required Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
