We are seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist on 1st shift. Compensation for this contract opportunity is based on skills and experience.

What you will do as a CNC Machinist :

• Support production operations by performing low to moderate machining operations, operating one or more types of machine tools such as mills, drill presses, lathes, etc.
• Set up basic tooling, write and execute basic programs.
• Set up, operate and program a broad range of production work involving close tolerance and set ups that are exacting that are somewhat involved and have a low to moderate degree of difficulty.
• Read and interpret specific machining instructions from blueprints, part, and machine drawings.
• Perform secondary operations such as stamping part numbers and deburring during machine cycle times.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Inspect machine parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers and other measuring tools and devices.

What you need to be a CNC Machinist :

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field preferred; 2-3 years of relevant machining experience can be substituted for Technical Degree
• Ability to problem solve and a good mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn and understand job methods and instructions in a timely manner
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
