Doherty Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Maintenance technician Near Alexandria, MN
Trade up your current maintenance position for this opportunity in the Alexandria area! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company located in Alexandria, MN.
We are seeking candidates for Maintenance Technician roles on the night shift. Hours for this position are 8 : 30pm-6 : 30am, Monday through Thursday.
Compensation for this direct hire opportunity is $75,000 per year. Interested? Read below for more information!
What you will do as a Maintenance Technician :
- Respond safely and efficiently to maintenance and repair needs to equipment and machinery
- Provide and promote a safe work environment throughout the entire facility
- Conduct all processes and procedures following department guidelines
- Coordinate and schedule repairs needed on equipment with the area supervisor
- Communicate the repair schedule of equipment with all affected employees in the specific work area
- Troubleshoot, plan and execute repairs
- Provide support and training to less experienced team members when appropriate
- Write detailed preventative maintenance procedures and develop preventative maintenance schedules
- Document all repairs thoroughly
What you need to be a Maintenance Technician :
- High School diploma or equivalent degree
- Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics or a related program preferred
- 1 years of experience in PLC, CNC, machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, or machine repair maintenance
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
- Basic math skills
- Ability to properly use appropriate measuring tools
- Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints for machined parts and equipment
