Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Rogers, MN company as they search for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join the thriving team. As the Maintenance Technician you will work 2nd Shift but train on 1st for 4-6 weeks. This position requires you to be mechanically inclined but is willing to train in some areas and will even provide continued education. Salary will depend upon experience but will range from $25.00-28.00 and the position offers great benefits with opportunity to grow.

Job Duties:

• Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls.
• Troubleshooting problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480v three phase.
• Removing and replacing defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
• Communicating effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs.
• Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made, and parts used or needed.
• Keeping company tools put away and in working order.
• Fabricating repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. Using shop equipment. (Welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.).
