POSITION SUMMARY The Body Shop will prepare the truck for paint by sanding, grinding, and applying body filler. They will be expected to wipe down the cab with wax and grease remover.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties.

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Clean cab using a wax / grease remover.
• Inspects cab for defects and document in build book.
• Sand area to be body filled, clean with wax and grease remover, and tape off areas needing protection from excess filler.
• Apply body filler to required areas with a plastic spreader.
• Remove excess filler and shape body filler to a quality finish.
• Maintain tools and work area.
• Expected to use power tools such as a D / A sander, grinder, and air-file.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S) : K Knowledge, Education, and / or Experience :

• High school diploma / GED required.

S Skills : Language :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Math :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

A Abilities :

• Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields.
• Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
• Able to read and work from blueprints / spec book.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and tape measure.
