EVENT SPECIALIST - PART-TIME 

Dogtopia, the industry leader and fastest-growing dog daycare, boarding and spa services company has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to help our team increase revenue through creative events marketing. This person will report to the General Manager and Pet Parent Relationship Manager as part of our Event Marketing Team.

This is a role is designed for someone who understands hard work, enjoys hosting events, and knows how to use social media to attract new Pet Parents to Dogtopia. This person should love dogs and the humans that love them!

This position is part-time with flexible work hours, often in the evenings and on weekends. With this job, you will explore a lot of interesting locations across greater Boise, including local Breweries, Wineries and places that our Pet Parents enjoy attending. It is perfect for a person that wants a fun job for extra cash. Additionally, this position has potential to grow significantly as we expand locations across the Treasure Valley.

What You Offer: Let’s look at what you will bring to Dogtopia

• Event Setup / Breakdown

o Ability to set up each event in various locations across greater Boise and adjust our configuration to attract new Pet Parents to sign-up for an in-store Meet & Greet (M&G).

o Ability to carry, set-up and break-down the event table, tent, SWAG and Scruffy (9 foot blowup mascot).

o Must have reliable transportation to bring all event materials to each location on time.

• Event Activities

o The primary goal of your job is to engage with new pet parents to help them become interested in Dogtopia and to register to attend an in-store M&G; therefore, you will have the…

o Ability to effectively explain the benefits of Dogtopia services to Pet Parents.

o Ability to engage new people and help them become interested in visiting Dogtopia with their dog.

o Ability to take photos and videos of the event to publish them on Social Media and to our online storage.

o Ability to follow directions from the Pet Parent Relationship Manager and work through requirements of each unique event to ensure it is successful.

o Handle all required paperwork to measure the event effectiveness and turn in your event reports on time.

o Know how to make activities fun for you and all around you.

Requirements

• Qualifications

o Must enjoy dogs and their parents.o Sales and Customer Service experience.o Strong marketing skills with a bias toward social media and story-telling.o Ability to work flexible hours to manage Pet Parents events.o Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast paced environment.o Able to work within a structure, but to think and act flexibly when needed.

o Proactive, results-focused, self-starter who enjoys working Independently.o People/relationship focus, emotionally intelligent and enjoys Pet Parents.o Extroverted, warm, enthusiastic with persuasive style.
