Your Role

The Quality Lab Technician I will be scheduled to work from 4 AM to 2 PM EST Monday through Friday, and is responsible for chemical, physical and/or microbiological analysis of beverage components and blends. Duties include preparing documentation and coordinating or performing testing and analysis to ensure quality standards are met.

Your Responsibilities

  • Verify that Quality equipment is functioning properly by performing and documenting maintenance, calibration, and verification to ensure product testing results are accurate.
  • Perform daily raw material receipt by reviewing COAs, sampling materials, and logging receipt and inspection results to verify that all materials meet specifications.
  • Perform shelf-life extensions when needed.
  • Verify effectiveness of cleaning & sanitation procedures by performing pre/post-operational inspections of production lines to verify beverage contact equipment is in a sanitary condition.
  • Perform environmental testing by collecting water samples and by performing hygienic swabbing throughout the facility to ensure the effectiveness of sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct HPLC and GC testing on finished product
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverages, syrups, and raw materials throughout the entire production process and analyzes attributes.
  • Fill out batch reports, calculate variations in batch sizes, proper attributes, standards, and other data required on batch reports documented per formula.
  • Keep Quality laboratory in order and with necessary supplies by cleaning the lab, equipment and performing supply inventory in order to maintain housekeeping expectations.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule but are typically Monday through Friday from 4:00 AM EST to 2 PM EST.

Your Profile

  • Associates degree in science-related field
  • 2 years’ experience in laboratory environment
  • Must have experience running HPLC and GC testing
