Summary of Job Purpose
The Food and Beverage Department is a team-oriented department focused on providing our guests with excellent customer service and a pleasurable dining experience. The responsibilities of this position are to prepare menu items, fill guest orders as requested, and maintain an organized and clean workstation. Working, as a team member and focusing on fulfilling our guest’s needs are key roles for the Line Server. The line server may work in the Creekside Lodge, North Fork Bistro or Locals mid mountain restaurant.

- Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This involves interacting with guests in a courteous manner, and being able to answer questions professionally.
- Work in the following areas; Plate set-ups, Pizza, Salads, and Sandwiches.
- Wait on customers.
- Fill condiment station as needed.
- Be pleasant & helpful to customers.
- Work with the other line workers to keep the line moving smoothly.
- Keep line stocked with food.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Help keep dish room clean.
- Bus tables.
- Empty garbage.
- Clean area for next day.
- Prepare food daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Good organizational skills
- Must be well groomed and present a good public image.
- Good physical condition as this position may require shoveling, lifting and carrying.
- Must wear a hat with hair tied back
- Practice safe food handling.
- Good manual and physical dexterity skills.
- Safety and risk orientated.
- Requires the skills of a host. This involves approaching guests in a courteous manner, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.
- Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures.
- Responsible use and care of all kitchen and food service equipment.
- Ability to possess “California Food Handlers Card”

Work Schedules
Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.
Working Conditions
At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Work is typically performed indoors working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members and it can be noisy. You will frequently be working with food. There is the possibility of mechanical hazards. At times, you may be expected to work outside were it can be cold, wet, or humid. There is also the possibility of working around moving objects.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.
