What you'll do


Docusign is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager, Developer Productivity & Test Engineering, to join our Product Led Growth team under the Marketing vertical. The Engineering Manager will lead a high-performing team of Developer Productivity Engineers and be responsible for delivering on the vision of a true CI/CD environment improving development productivity and product quality.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director, Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Be responsible for building a world-class infrastructure for test automation and CI/CD
  • Lead a team of engineers at various stages of their career, actively investing in their growth and development
  • Have a passion for continuous improvement
  • Be responsible for delivering products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt
  • Dive deep into technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and
    strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team
  • Be an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD and champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high quality development environment
  • Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services
  • Obsess over great user experiences and be a partner to product management, engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business
  • Cultivate an open, collaborative, and fun work environment for yourself and your team
  • Work closely with product, design, security, customer success and other teams to provide technical expertise throughout all phases of product development
  • Set team strategy and be accountable for team plans and deliverables

Job Designation


Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring


Basic

  • 5 years of combined software development and management experience improving product quality and maximizing developer productivity, building test frameworks, tools, or complex engineering projects using design principles and advanced programming skills
  • 2 years of experience managing a team of engineers and participating in the entire employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and employee development
  • BS degree in CS or equivalent work experience

Preferred

  • Experience writing maintainable, performant, and reusable code for CI/CD components
  • Experience with continuous integration systems
  • Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Typescript, Ruby, or C#
  • Experience with end-to-end automation tools, such as Playwright and Puppeteer
  • Passion for learning and working with new technologies
  • Strong understanding of design principles
  • Care deeply about writing high-performance, reusable code for components that will be used across our product

Wage Transparency


Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $146,800.00 - $235,025.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $139,800.00 - $197,400.00 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $139,800.00 - $207,325.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
