Job Description:
Are you a problem-solver who thrives on ensuring everything runs smoothly? We’re seeking a proactive and diligent Hotel Engineer to oversee the continuous functionality and aesthetic appeal of our boutique hotel. In this role, you will ensure that Doctor Sax House remains a flawless sanctuary for our guests, maintaining the physical integrity and operational efficiency of our property.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of hotel systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural elements.
- Quickly respond to and resolve maintenance issues, emergencies, or other repairs to minimize inconvenience to guests and staff.
- Follow preventive maintenance measures to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all hotel equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of the maintenance work undertaken and the costs incurred.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards related to building and construction.
- Contribute to the overall guest experience by ensuring all facilities are functional and appealing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hotel maintenance , handyman, or in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Excellent problem-solving and technical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
