We are the LinkBelt Crane distributor for Hawaii and provide crane sales, rentals, inspections and equipment repairs.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time service writer who takes pride in their work and will deliver quality customer service. Candidates need to be proficient in time management, communication, organization and have a basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service

- Be courteous and professional to customers and coworkers

- Listen to customers' concerns and accurately document them

- Prepare accurate estimates for services and obtain proper authorizations

- Keep detailed records

- Work closely with the foreman and the parts manager to ensure timely completion of repairs and that all costs associated with the job have been added to the estimate.

- Keep customers updated about the status of their equipment

- Review and approve mechanics’ timesheets and notes

- Provide occasional coverage in the Parts Department

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of automotive service and repair processes is a plus

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Organized and detail oriented

- Ability to upsell and promote additional services or products

- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair terminology

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
