Job DescriptionDobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Contract specialist to support our team. The ideal person will assist with collecting and organizing information required for preparation of documents, training materials, proposals, and reports. Contract negotiations as well as the managing of multiple projects will be expected. This specialist will also maintain a system of gathering information to update our inventory and service records.
Duties
  • Oversee Current Contracts
  • Acquisition Planning
  • Communicate with suppliers/vendors for company events and products
  • Perform contract administration functions for all assigned contracts
  • Work with management to determine budget policies
  • Carry out market research through the Internet and applicable resources
  • Evaluate bids and proposals for compliance, purchase descriptions and applicable clause
  • Assist and provide guidance to develop performance work statements and specification documents
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in contract management or a related field
  • Prior experience in government contracting, proposal preparation, and data calls response
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand pricing and bill rates.
Working Environment
  • Hybrid (onsite/offsite)
