We are looking for a responsible day porter to help maintain the cleanliness of our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for the day porter to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning, and tidying the facility. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep while focusing on great customer service and having initiative. They will have good physical endurance to cover a large space and be on their feet for most of their shift. A keen eye for detail is a must.

Responsibilities

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying bathrooms, and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Report any damages to the site supervisor

Requirements

• Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Good physical condition and strength to be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Have a valid driver's license and your "own" car
