Physical Therapy Assistant, Home Health – Per Diem

DNPT Physical Therapy Group has an opening for a Per Diem PTA independent contractor to provide in-home physical therapy and to facilitate increased independence and functioning.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of California as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Current CPR certification. Online certification is not accepted

Position Responsibilities

• Actively participates in patient care, staffing conferences, and other obligatory meetings as a representative of the physical therapy department, following the guidance of the supervising physical therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise including aerobic capacity conditioning, balance coordination, agility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and locomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and endurance training.
• Educates patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques integral to the physical therapy treatment program, operating under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation for all treated patients.
• Prioritizes Patient Service: Ensures the provision of the highest quality service in a compassionate and caring environment that recognizes and respects the individual needs and rights of patients and their families.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
