FREELANCE CREATIVE DIRECTOR / COPYWRITER

Who You Are

We're looking for a Freelance Creative Director / Copywriter for a three month contract.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eight years copywriting experience at creatively led agencies
  • Experience leading account(s) and creative teams from start to finish of assignments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work internally and with clients
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills for effective communication to clients, internal teams
  •  Video/TV production experience required
  •  360 campaign understanding/experience preferred
  • Portfolio with demonstrated versatility across all media, smart brand building ideas, executions, and conceptual skills that result in innovative and inspiring creative ideas
  •  Strong experience in production craft across all media

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and inspire teams and lead the selling and executing of great work
  • Conceive and create exceptional work with your own hands at the highest level
  • Lead the selling and execution of exceptional work with the Executive Creative Director
  • Contribute to new biz pitches and bring high caliber ideas to the table
  • Create strong and effective internal partnerships, leading collaboration across integrated teams
  • Exhibit a positive, constructive, and collaborative attitude, even under pressure
  • Push yourself and others out of comfort zones to think differently and be innovative in what we deliver and how we deliver it
  • Understand strategic intent of projects and audience/customer goals
  • Actively coach and mentor creative talent, helping develop their skills and performance

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional creative chops
  • Capable of confidently presenting concepts and thinking to clients
  • Excellent creative writing ability and a strong knack for communication strategy
  • Ability to develop and craft brand voice (conceptualization and ideation)
  • Proven ability to see the big picture and drive ideas through to specific tactics
  • Proven ability to lead a creative team of art directors and copywriters
  • T-shaped expertise of the changing landscape of advertising/marketing; have a basic understanding of how brands are built using social, traditional, experiential, etc.
  • Proven strategic thinking
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to persuade
  • Comfort with the uncomfortable
  • Experience with social first campaigns
  • Ability to craft international-level case study videos and entries
  • Proven Digital experience

CONTRACT

Contract Freelance Creative Director / Copywriter:

3-month contract / 20 hours per week

Monthly Project Fee Pay Range: $15,000 -$20,000

LOCATION

Seattle Office: DNA is working a Hybrid schedule; required in office days are Tuesdays & Thursdays of each week for employees who live in the Seattle metro region.

Currently, we are open to this role being fully REMOTE for qualified candidates in the following states only: Oregon, California & New York (New York City) only.
