Position Description: Manage the production team to ensure that cost, quality and delivery schedules are met. Plans production schedule to maximize productivity. Works with Human Resources to meet staffing requirements. This position recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Develop production schedules to execute against order commitments
• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Assists in employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
• Manage departmental performance measures and provides regular progress reports to Vice President.
• Provide leadership through a 30-day planning cycle
• Manage QDR’s
• Perform accident investigations
• Maintain proper inventory levels to optimize cost and lead time
• Manage department priorities
• Track absenteeism and timekeeping
• Weekly production meetings with Operations team
• Serve as a point of contact for production changes
• Directly responsible for performing work in a safe manner and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Develop and manage training for operators. Ensure all employees are continually provided with appropriate job-related training and education
• Encourage and develop an environment of constant, open, transparent communication. Develop employee involvement.
• Implement procedures in all production functions to meet and maintain ISO standards.
• Required Skills:

• 2 years plus in Production Management leadership position
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• Ability to train, coach, and direct employees

Position type/expected hours of work:

Supervisory role that reports to Vice President of Operations. Position is Salary and normal operation hours will be 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday. May occasional need to speak with or email our Philippians factory in the evening. Occasional work on evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
