About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Solutions Architect

Duties and Responsibilities:

Connectivity and Infotainment Vehicle Sub-System Architect

These requirements apply to all the following “Connectivity and Infotainment Vehicle System Architect” roles:

  • System engineering design role for software-based consumer products
  • Experience capturing and managing design requirements including writing requirements specification
  • Basic understanding of cloud networks and system design
  • Experience with Automotive Connectivity systems
  • Experience with Automotive Vehicle Networks and CAN bus architecture
  • Experience writing technical requirements and/or feature specifications
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence system
  • Capability of working in agile and understanding of its principles
  • Experience with UML and design patterns
  • Knowledge of IBM Rational Doors.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architect or similar modeling tool
  • Excellent English competence, both written and spoken
  • Previous experience in Telematic Boxes/Infotainment systems
  • Experience as module or system architect owner
  • Capability to complete the system DFMEA for the connected features in automotive
  • Deep understanding of API layers and interfaces in connected vehicles environment
  • Knowledge of the Treat Analysis and Risk Assessment to support security teamwork
  • Capability to define the correct KPIs for system components
  • Availability to travel

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Master of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related subjects (or equivalent)

 Required Skills:

  • Connectivity and Infotainment Vehicle Sub-System Architect - Specific
  • 5 years of experience in automotive electrical architecture, electrical systems, enterprise architecture or systems
  • Strong independence for discussing and converging to technical solutions
  • Experience capturing and managing design requirements including writing requirements specification
  • Excellent understanding of vehicular networks, cloud networks interfacing, and system design
  • Applied experience writing technical requirements and/or feature specifications
  • Applied experience in collecting and discussing requirements with stakeholders, defining impacts on SW architecture, and developing features
  • Applied experience in development and architecture for infotainment and/or telematics systems
  • Applied experience in connected services architecture definition including interactions with third parties and partners
  • Applied experience in in-vehicle architecture definition including interactions with third parties and partners
  • Applied experience in connected features architectural design for collecting and interacting with vehicle data
  • Applied experience in architectural design for feature for OTA Update for Connectivity and infotainment systems
  • Deep understanding of the automotive production and vehicle management systems and impacts on OTA campaigns (knowledge of Redbend or similar OTA systems)
  • Deep understanding of API layers and interfaces in connected vehicles environment
  • Understanding of processes and specificities for services development in the automotive industry
  • Capability of working in agile and understanding of its principles
  • Excellent English competence, both written and spoken.
