About the Opportunity

HAM Team Leader:

DMI is currently seeking to hire a Hardware Asset Management Team Leader to lead the Hardware Asset Management Team onsite in Arlington, Virginia. The HAM lead will work with the team to perform physical audits of IT Hardware Assets, Receive and Stock assets, dispose of assets, and maintain ServiceNow asset repository with accuracy.

The Hardware Asset Management Team Leader responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day activities of the HAM team in order to execute the hardware asset management processes.
• Ensuring quality of hardware asset records within the Asset Management Repository, including Hardware Discovery Models, Hardware Product Models and Hardware Asset records.
• Identifying requirements to modify and continuously improve the HAM processes.
• Perform Hardware Asset Management functions to include receiving inventory, dispose/ retire of assets and reconciliation of hardware assets.
• Assist with receiving hardware against Purchase Orders in ServiceNow.
• Record asset records and status updates via the asset management processes in ServiceNow.
• Lead the team in fulfillment of Hardware Asset request in ServiceNow.
• Assist in preparing assets for disposal and transfers to remote stockrooms. This includes working with shipping or disposal vendor and internal staff members.
• Scheduling and facilitating onsite hard drive shredding on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with internal technical and operations teams to manage items pertaining to related to IT asset processes.
• Implement best practices concerning hardware asset management via automated workflow processes in ServiceNow.
• Assist in the preparation of metrics and dashboard reporting of the IT hardware asset management lifecycle.
• Knowing and understanding of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management module and new functionality pertaining to new release versions.
• Collaborate the data collection for hardware inventory audits and comparing the data to other data available data sources for reconciliation.

Experience:

• 5 years overall experience as a Hardware Asset Manager
• Experience leading and mentoring a team of analysts
• Experience with Hardware Asset Management Professional (HAM Pro) in ServiceNow a plus
• Experience with network, client, infrastructure and telephony equipment
• ITIL v4 Foundations
• CHAMP Certification or similar ITAM certifications
