Patient Services Representative
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the ER
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details
- Answer phone calls and assist callers with inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Process patient payments and provide receipts
- Assist with insurance claims and billing inquiries
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using phone systems and basic computer applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
