Associate Director, Project Planning & Strategy 

The Associate Director is responsible for overseeing development and execution of strategic plans for the organization's clinical trials, and communicating with internal stakeholders, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and patient recruitment. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans aligned with the company's research goals and objectives.
  • Timeline Management: Monitor and manage project timelines, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to ensure timely completion of research milestones.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration among different departments, promoting effective communication and coordination to streamline research activities.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Patient Recruitment Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient recruitment, considering factors like patient demographics, study protocols, and outreach methods.
  • Data Management Planning: Work with data management teams to develop data collection and management plans, ensuring the quality and integrity of clinical trial data.
  • Risk-Based Monitoring: Implement risk-based monitoring strategies to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues during the course of a clinical trial
  • Any other matters as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • Masters in Business Administration or Management preferred
  • Experience:
  • 2 years of related experience in a project management environment and/or Program Management Organization

Credentials:

  • PMP Certification preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and handling of project management methodology and techniques
  • High level of understanding of the wider objectives of the program
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program and project management
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.
