Job Title: Junior Scheduler

Who We Are: DLR Planning is a Women and Minority-owned CM/PM firm working in both the public and private sectors. We specialize on mega projects such as large event venues, infrastructure and education. Established in 2015, we have a great company culture, strong project pipeline and high ceiling for personal growth.

Position Overview: We are currently looking for two dedicated individuals to join our team in the role of Junior Scheduler. As a Junior Scheduler, you will play a crucial part in supporting program schedules, ensuring data accuracy, and conducting quality checks on project schedules. Your responsibilities will include critical path and earned value analyses, contractor schedule review, and assisting with project reporting. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from DLR PLANNING, LLC is required.

This is an on-site, long-term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Schedule Support: Collaborate with schedulers to update program schedules, gathering input from various Facilities teams.

  • Schedule Analysis: Examine schedules for proper use of program-level standard codes, layouts, and reports to ensure data accuracy.

  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on P6 schedules and validate logic connections to ensure adherence to scheduling guidelines for different project types.

  • Contractor Schedule Review: Review contractors' schedule submissions to ensure alignment with contract scope and terms.

  • Scope Evaluation: Interpret drawings to determine if work falls within the project scope. Understand contract terms and conditions to assess the validity of compensable or non-compensable time extensions.

  • Critical Path and Earned Value Analysis: Perform analyses related to the critical path and earned value.

  • Reporting Assistance: Aid the scheduling team in project reporting as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Required Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of full-time, paid professional experience in scheduling, preferably for an Owner or General Contractor, with a focus on multiple educational facilities or public works projects.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in the latest version of Primavera and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with project teams and department staff.

  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.


Required Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
