Overview

Under the supervision of the Follow-up Lead, Manager, the Follow-up Lead is assigned to Regions(s) and manages a portfolio of grant recipients. This position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing each individual review event (with findings) and works with Regional Office staff in developing recommended activities to ensure correction during follow-up reviews. The Follow-up Lead coordinates Follow-up, RAN and Special reviews for and with Regional Office(s), and maintains accurate tracking records for all grant recipients within their assigned Region(s). The Follow-Up Lead is instrumental in collaborating with Regions in identifying potential system issues, and identifying trends and gaps as they review findings from all review types. The Follow-up Lead works collaboratively with Regional Office staff and the Follow-up Lead Manager and provides subject matter expertise and capability building.

Unique Job Requirements and Characteristics

  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment
  • Ability to travel (30%) and act as reviewer for on-site follow ups or targeted reviews

Essential Duties

  • Manages a portfolio of grant recipients; is knowledgeable of review findings, schedule, history, and areas for attention; and provides support, capacity building and subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Provides grantee information across reviews to communicate and coordinate with Regional Program Managers/Designee on performance and review findings and status of reviews.
  • Participates in all training regarding the HSPPS and HS Act and develops a deep understanding of how the HSPPS and HS Act aligns with the monitoring process and IT-AMS software.
  • Understands and maintains a strong understanding of the HSPPS and HS Act and how both integrate with the follow-up process.
  • Participates in all required training and assists with the development and testing of protocols and technology. Provides suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Works with the Follow-up Lead Manager and IT to develop a reporting database that accurately tracks all Follow-Ups, RAN, and Special reviews using relevant technology.
  • Coordinates and supports, prior to each review event (FU/RAN/Special), with the Program Specialist, Grants Specialist a discussion of root causes for findings, and necessary actions grant recipients should take to effect correction.
  • Collaborates with RPM/Designee and make adjustments to customize reviews for individual regions, including working with scheduling and planning for onsite Follow-up and Special reviews.
  • Helps to develop resources, training materials, etc. for internal staff and Regional Offices
  • Serves as a reviewer as needed on on-site Special review events or on-site Follow Ups
  • Participates in Regional Office training for each region they partner with to ensure that reviews are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 Qualifications

Bachelor's in related field with 6 years of directly related work experience or compatible combination of education and experience.

Basic Compensation: $85,000.00- $90,000.00 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates’ skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicant’s salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
