DLA, LLC is seeking a Managing Director with expertise in tax provision and tax compliance services to join our Accounting Advisory team. This is a remote position within the United States.

As a Managing Director at DLA, LLC focused on providing tax provision and tax compliance services to clients, your primary responsibility would be to lead and oversee the delivery of end-to-end tax provision and tax return services, covering the full spectrum of client needs from preparation and review through regulatory filing. You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, providing technical expertise, overseeing project delivery, managing the practice, and engaging in industry thought leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Help lead the growth of an Advisory practice by developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans in accordance with DLA’s mission and vision and the commitment to always act as a trusted partner to our clients
• Elevate the DLA brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing our marketing and sales programs
• Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with the goal of expanding the DLA brand in acquiring new clients, projects, and revenue for the Firm
• Lead and manage multiple concurrent engagements within the Advisory practice to provide guidance to clients and colleagues on complex tax provisions, tax matters, identifying tax planning opportunities, and advise on tax implications of business decisions
• Assist in managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met
• Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables
• Responsible for ensuring the engagement team has an in-depth understanding of the client’s business
• Support the growth and development of team members, helping these individuals meet their professional goals.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting; masters or advanced degree is desirable
• CPA, MBA or MST preferred
• 15 years related of experience in public accounting and/or management consulting in tax compliance and accounting for income taxes, with a concentration in life sciences, healthcare, biotech, retail, manufacturing/distribution, and software industries preferred
• Professional services experience required
• Strong corporate income tax and financial reporting skills with a broad understanding of US income taxation
• Above average written and verbal communication skills with experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level
• Entrepreneurial nature, self-motivated, ethical, and dependable with commitment to quality client service
• Interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships
• Actively participates in firm marketing and business development with demonstrated ability to acquire new business and increase brand recognition
• Strong computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office.
