The Admissions Nurse performs pre-admission evaluations for appropriateness for hospice services. Initiates the admission process by educating and informing the patient/family of hospice and its services. Also obtains informed consent. Provides nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s)that optimize patient and family directed comfort and quality of life. Salary negotiable depending on experience. Flexible, you pick your schedule. Position also pays stand-by rate to carry phones (on-call), phone stipend, mileage reimbursement, after hours visit differential as well as the hourly rate for any visits completed during those on-call shifts.
