Divine Wellness Center is Hiring a Certified Peer Support Specialist Near Hope Mills, NC

Responsibilities:

- Provide peer support and advocacy to individuals with behavioral health challenges
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage and empower individuals in their recovery journey
- Assist individuals in developing and achieving their personal recovery goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health and addiction recovery
- Provide crisis intervention and support during times of acute distress or relapse
- Serve as a mentor and role model for individuals seeking support and guidance
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with behavioral health challenges within the community

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of peer support principles and practices
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect individuals to necessary services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of systems that impact individuals with behavioral health challenges, such as social services, healthcare, and legal systems
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Note: Certification as a Peer Specialist is required for this position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.15 - $16.90 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
