Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Concierge, you typically serve as 'first impression' and 'final memory' for most patient interactions. Duties:
1. Your typical day: You will greet patients, engage in open communication to provide an overview of their visit, address their questions or concerns, process paperwork, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments.
2. Coordinate patient appointments and scheduling efficiently
3. Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
4. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information
5. Maintain patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality following HIPAA guidelines
6. Assist with Dental administrative support tasks as needed
7. Collaborate with Dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
8. Utilize Dental scheduling systems effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or similar role in a dental office setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with office systems, including phone systems and electronic health records
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, such as urgent care or emergency room settings

Core Responsibilities:
- Execute a 5-star patient experience by warmly greeting patients and ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Deliver individualized customer care by addressing patient needs, questions, or concerns in a respectful, friendly, and timely manner.
- Streamline patient visits by proactively preparing schedules, charts, and necessary information in advance.
- Conduct insurance verifications to ensure accurate co-pays, creating treatment plans, presenting it to patients, case acceptance, encourage sense of urgency to perform recommended dental treatment in timely manner (same day when possible)
- Initiate patient paperwork for treatment, including employment and insurance documentation, getting approval and signature from patient for treatment plans as well as treatment consent forms
- Coordinate discharge with the Lead Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and provide patients with follow-up materials and post-op instructions.
- Assist patients with payment-related questions and process in-office payments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the lobby and front office.
- Provide assistance in other clinic areas as requested by leadership as assigned.
- Participate in community outreach activities, promoting our services to the public.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18 required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Dental office experience highly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of patient care or customer service experience highly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including data entry.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work clinic hours, including Saturdays.
