Duties And Responsibilities
- Assembles/picks orders and prepares goods for shipment.
- Load equipment and rides along with a driver to deliver goods to customers in box trucks.
- The contractor Driver Assistant does not/will not operate the vehicle in any capacity (including no operation of lift gate) while in the contractor role.
- This role is expected to be temp to perm with client for those contractors who perform well in the role and when hired by the client they would then be expected to drive the client vehicles, so all new starts must pass an MVR and have a valid license as required by the role: (regular driver's license, CDL, DOT certified, etc to be specified here by client req creator).
- Install equipment into customer workspaces as assigned.
- Follow the route specified by the dispatcher/coordinator
- Receives and unpacks materials and supplies
- Obtains signatures for deliveries
- Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes
- Organizes shelves for inventory
- Delivers files and paperwork to appropriate departments
- Assist set-up with lifting/moving machines
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 year of warehouse experience preferred
- Have great attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Must be able to lift up to 50-80lbs
- Work in a warehouse environment.
